My geek Christmas wish

I already have my BlackBerry 8900, so I was just thinking what I should ask for …

Dear Santa,

I’ve been really busy this year. I opened my twitter account (@lulamedia) and tried following every single person on earth. Yes, I know. I was finally reported as spam.
Then I realised I need to interact with some of the 500 people I was into, that’s the whole point about sharing your miserable life and thoughts, right? … Ok, so I started answering stupid questions for a while.
This was totally ANOYING, I didn’t care about any of the subjects I was actually retwitting or participating in.
That’s when I realised I wanted to be another bullshit “guru” trying to survive on the net.

So far I’ve #sucked
It seems I’ve been doing a terrible work, so here comes my wish… please Santa if you are a truly fat, wrinkled, and white haired grandpa please do send me MORE FOLLOWERS (jijiji)

Can’t decide what to ask Santa for this Christmas? Don’t worry here is a list of 12 things that will drive any of us crazy –

On December 1 twitter is red to bring people and brands together to help fight AIDS in Africa.

How can you become part of this?
Add the hashtag #red at and #WAD09 the end of your posts.
And dress up your avatar with a Twibbon It’s like a bumper plate sticker for your twitter avatar. It is used to promote a cause on twitter by overlaying an image on your profile picture to show your allegiance to the Twibbon cause. A Twibbon cause can be anything from a protest, memorial, event or even a popular person or band.

You can use them in 3 interesting ways:

1) Lists as a way of organizing your followers
2) Lists as a form of recommendation
3) Lists as a way of measuring influence.

Also if you find yourself following too many people this would be a really helpful tool.

1. Plan to share your lists outside of Twitter
2. Add yourself to your List (if necessary)
3. Name your List well
4. Create Lists for your target audience

My advice; just enjoy it and have fun… remember you always have the option to make any list private.

Something is technically wrong!?

This is the new look of my twitter account. Some days ago I decided to change my user name just because I thought it was easier to get re-tweet by the 140 characters that way, but it was a mistake.

I’ve been trying to log in every time then but receive this message ‘Thanks for noticing—we’re going to fix it up and have things back to normal soon’. Ok soon, but when exactly?

Now I am just stuck, waiting for a respond of the nonexistent twitter support to reactivate my profile.

I read that many people had this same problem, and I am just wondering which is the impact for companies and their #bloggers #geeks representatives, and then off course for the rest of us – all social media addicts.

I feel frustrating because I did not spam or make anything wrong, but what if I was actually loosing money? For some fortunately people followers are cash nowadays, right? Its silly but today I feel lucky just not been part of them.

I am really sympathizing with the Tech Crunch People
