My geek Christmas wish

I already have my BlackBerry 8900, so I was just thinking what I should ask for …

Dear Santa,

I’ve been really busy this year. I opened my twitter account (@lulamedia) and tried following every single person on earth. Yes, I know. I was finally reported as spam.
Then I realised I need to interact with some of the 500 people I was into, that’s the whole point about sharing your miserable life and thoughts, right? … Ok, so I started answering stupid questions for a while.
This was totally ANOYING, I didn’t care about any of the subjects I was actually retwitting or participating in.
That’s when I realised I wanted to be another bullshit “guru” trying to survive on the net.

So far I’ve #sucked
It seems I’ve been doing a terrible work, so here comes my wish… please Santa if you are a truly fat, wrinkled, and white haired grandpa please do send me MORE FOLLOWERS (jijiji)

Can’t decide what to ask Santa for this Christmas? Don’t worry here is a list of 12 things that will drive any of us crazy –

Finally I took the time to make a list of the BlackBerry “MUST” Have applications you need to install on your device.
I am actually using a Blackberry 8900, but they’ll apply to your phone too

Übertwitter is the best tool to give a mobile aspect to your twitter account. I promise you’ll love it!
Everyone is already using Facebook app, but don’t you think there are some important things missing here like the #FB chat? I do.
WordPress just AMAZING! Keep your WP blog updated each week, write new posts and create new pages from your device. You should definitely try it.
Opera Mini 4.2 The beeeesssst browser from my own experience. Easy to navigate, fast and quite cool.
iSkoot – weren’t you wondering if there was any app to answer your skype calls directly from your smartphone? Well, the iSkoot guys made this possible.
Flickr off course! Take and upload pictures all day long to your flickr account, keep your friends updated on what’s going on with your life.

Loading Blog Error for WordPress app on my BB

I am so tired of this TCP error message. ‘Tunnel failed’… was is that?

I already tried the two options listed on the WordPress FAQ:
In the WordPress app, click on Setup, and review the connections you want to enable. Unchecking “WAP’, for example, has helped resolve this issue for a few people. If that doesn’t help make sure that permissions are set correctly. On your BlackBerry, go to “Options > Advanced Options > Applications”. Scroll through the list and highlight and select “WordPress for BlackBerry”. Next, Click on the app, and choose Edit Permissions and ensure they are set to “Allow”

Neither of them worked for me. I am starting to feel kind of frustrating, I need this application to keep my blog updated.

The Smartphone for bloggers and geeks

My new social media weapon is finally a BlackBerry curve 8900.

After making a lot of research I’ve decided that my first smartphone should be a BlackBerry.
This model has all the typical devices of BB, but with a much more lightweight design, and a really long battery life. I’m making a complete use of it since yesterday morning

As far as now facebook, twitter and wordpress applications rocks!
The browser is big enough to navigate without becoming blind, and the media player has an AMAZING resolution.
And Ethernet and off course Wi-Fi connection work really fast.

I’m now installing the ‘Desktop Manager software’ so I’ll just keep loving my new phone… and sincerely ‘Live what I do’

Vonage Releases Calling Apps for iPhone and BlackBerry

On Monday, Vonage, the Internet telephony company, is releasing a mobile application for BlackBerrys, iPhones and iPod Touches.

The application, which is free, will allow users to place low-cost international calls over Wi-Fi and cellular voice networks. Once it is installed, users load up their calling accounts using a credit card. Rates vary by country. Vonage said it would eventually release a flat-rate plan with a recurring subscription fee for frequent callers.
